1. China-Africa Economic and Trade Forum to be held in Jinhua

The 2021 China (Zhejiang) China-Africa Economic and Trade Forum will be held on Nov 7-9 in the city of Jinhua, located in East China's Zhejiang province.

The forum will be co-sponsored by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the province's government.

The event will have as its themes that people are connected in their fight against the novel coronavirus epidemic, as well as in their push to achieve mutual benefit from promoting win-win development.

2. Zhoushan to host annual petroleum, natural gas enterprises conference

The fourth International Petroleum and Natural Gas Enterprises Conference will be held on Nov 10 in Zhoushan, according to a news conference held on Oct 13 in Hangzhou, capital city of East China's Zhejiang province.

The conference is sponsored by the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government and organized by the China (Zhejiang) Pilot Free Trade Zone.

All speeches and exchanges between the guests and participants during the conference will be broadcast online. 

These activities will revolve around four different themes each week, including financial reform, bulk commodity storage and transportation base, high-quality development of petrochemical industry, and international petroleum and natural gas trade and integrated maritime services.

3. Hangzhou conducts first survey of fish in West Lake

Hangzhou launched a survey of fish in the lake on Oct 13, which was the first of its kind in this city.

Over the following two days, staff members from the Management Committee of Hangzhou West Lake Scenic Area will carry out fixed-point net fishing in eight areas of the lake.

Then, they will try to figure out the number and biomass of fish at each area according to their different fish species type and feeding habits. Following that, they will create an index of fish resources in the West Lake and their conditions.

4. Huzhou rolls out legislation to promote green finance

Huzhou in East China's Zhejiang province recently enacted a legislation to promote green finance in the city, becoming the first prefecture-level city in the nation to do so.

The legislation was recently passed at the 31st session of the 13th standing committee of the Huzhou Municipal People's Congress.

Huzhou has implemented more than 40 innovative practices in green finance since 2017, when the city was designated a national pilot zone for green finance.

Green finance refers to structured financial activity that has been created to ensure a better environmental outcome.

5. The first "network security theme park" in Zhejiang Province is located in Binjiang District, Hangzhou

On October 14, Zhejiang’s first "network security theme park" settled in the Internet town of Binjiang District, Hangzhou. The "Network Security Theme Park" aims to promote and popularize the "Cybersecurity Law of the People's Republic of China" and other laws and regulations, and effectively enhance the public's awareness of network security.

The park has arranged network security video broadcasting places, network security celebrity check-in places, network security law popularization knowledge places, network security case warning places, network security public welfare lecture halls and other publicity places.
