Editor's Note: The grand ceremony paying homage to Xuanyuan Huangdi, the legendary ancestor of the Chinese nation, is held on Oct 14 at the Xiandu Scenic Spot in Jinyun County, Lishui city, East China's Zhejiang province. Let's have a look at today's "Zhejiang Highlights".
1. The ceremony officially begins at 9:50 AM
Ge Huijun, chairman of The CPPCC of Zhejiang Province, steps on the altar and bows three times to the statue of the Yellow Emperor. "Xin Chou's (2021) grand ceremony of paying homage to Xuanyuan Huangdi in Xiandu, now begins, all stand in silence," she announces.
At the scene, the nine trumpeters sound the trombone five times to call for the heroic spirit.
Item 2: Beat the drum and bell
34 drums, representing 34 provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and Macao Special Administrative Region.
15 bells, representing 1.5 billion Chinese people.

81 children line up to sing "Ode to Xuanyuan".

Zhejiang song and dance troupe bring a performance with "Tang" style and "Song" rhyme.
A dragon flies up, the ceremony ends
As the ceremony comes to the end, A dragon flies up, marking the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and the rising of all Chinese around the world.
