The 2021 grand memorial ceremony for Xuanyuan Huangdi to be held in Jinyun County, Lishui

On October 14, this ceremony, with the ethos of “Promoting the Yellow Emperor Culture and Rallying the National spirit” and with the theme of “The whole nation is of one mind, to pay homage to ancestor and to open the chapter of common prosperity”, is soon to be unveiled. This year’s memorial ceremony will continue to perform nine rituals such as: playing trombones, ringing the bells and drums, offering incense sticks and a basket of flowers, saluting by bowing, singing the odes, etc while the contents of the elegiac address and the form of dancing with accompaniment has been innovated.

Apsara Conference is around the corner

An annual digital technology convention-- Apsara Conference will be held in Yunqi Town (also known as Cloud Town) in Hangzhou from October 19 to October 22. This year’s conference, with “Event, Explore, Inspire” as its theme, will last for 4 days. Nearly a thousand keynote speeches will be delivered and key basic technology will be published. 

A new archaeological ruin of Liangzhu City and a museum will be developed in Hangzhou

After the preliminary site protection, the Yujiashan archaeological ruin of Liangzhu City is about to enter the substantive implementation stage, while the designing project of the museum for Yujiashan archaeological ruin of Liangzhu City has come out. Yujiashan site, an important part of the Archaeological Ruins of Liangzhu City is located in the Yuhang Economic and Technological Development Zone in Hangzhou. The total area of the Yujiashan archaeological site park and the museum exceeds 120,000 square meters. 

Ningbo tests out 15-minute convenient life circle in Zhejiang

Ningbo was listed as the only 15-minute convenient life circle pilot zone in East China's Zhejiang province, according to a list recently announced by the Ministry of Commerce and other departments. The 15-minute convenient life circle not only provides community residents with easy access to daily necessities and basic life services within a 15-minute walk from home but other useful services as well. Ningbo has been building 15-minute convenient business and life circles in the city since 2019. So far, a total of 23 such life circles have been finished.

The Second Cross-Strait Photography Culture Week opens 

On October 12 afternoon, the Second Cross-Strait Photography Culture Week opened at Zhejiang Art Museum. This year’s activities for culture week take place both in Hangzhou and Dongtou District in Wenzhou. The main avenue in Hangzhou features six theme photography shows and one academic seminar, fully showcasing Zhejiang's economic and social development achievements as well as the natural landscapes and cultural environment on both sides of the Taiwan Straits. The activities such as exhibitions, culture salons take place in the avenue in Wenzhou. The culture week will last until October 26.
