The artifact with animal-headed god is a masterpiece of Liangzhu culture jade. It is inferred that the emblem, representing the highest status of the common dedication in their minds, was worshipped by Liangzhu people.
The lower part of the emblem is a crouching beast with heavy circles and big eyes, crafted by bas-relief and Yin-line engraving. The upper part is the deity with a cross-shaped large crest on his head that symbolizes the sky. The comb’s back used by loyal families was applied to the shape of the crest, representing the military power and kingship.
