Why is the mist so dense in the picture? Is it a horror movie shooting site? 

The picture shows the ‘mirage' sight energized by a fogging system near the Nanming Lake in Lishui City, Zhejiang Province.

The fog was sprayed from the greenery. Clouds and fog were dancing in the air, echoing to the lights and water in the evening. Viewed from a distance, you may observe a ‘mirage' in the sky.

“This place used to be very hot. Now it feels as cool and comfortable as an air-conditioned room,” said Mr. Liu, a Lishui local.

“It’s beautiful, comfortable and cool!” Ms. Lan exclaimed at the sight of the fantastic scenery.

It is a livelihood improvement project implemented by the Lishui Municipal Water Conservancy Bureau. A cooling system, also known as fog system, with a length of about 2.5 km has been set in different sections in areas around Xiaoshuimen Bridge, Zijin Bridge and the riverside landscape belt. 

Not only does it lower the temperature, but it also sprays a lot of tiny fog particles into the air when the system works to purify the air, allowing citizens to enjoy a natural spa.

The fog system is now under a stage of debugging, which is expected to finish installation by the end of June.
