On the morning of March 19, a volunteer team of nearly 40 people, most of them being the staff of West Lake Street Committee and other volunteers, came to Yangmeiling Village to help the local short-handed tea farmers pick Longjing tea.

The West Lake Street Committee has set up a volunteer team of more than 300 people to help those tea farmers who have difficulty picking tea since Longjing tea has entered the harvest season on March 18. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, some tea-pickers in Hangzhou's West Lake scenic area have not yet been fully employed.
