On the evening of May 6, the third lecture of the “Perfection Lecture Room” of Zhejiang Conservatory of Music was held as scheduled. The famous pianist Lang Lang, through on-site interview and interaction, shared his ideas on music with the students.
After exchanging thoughts with the students, he played Bach's Gothenburg Variations. He wished to tell students with his balanced and tranquil melody that sympathy was more important than dazzling techniques. He advised the students to stay attentive and calm while playing the piano.
Hu Jianxin, Party Committee Secretary of Zhejiang Conservatory of Music, awarded an appointment letter of honorary professor to Lang Lang. And Lang Lang presented his new album Piano Book.
At the mention of his new album, Lang Lang said, the Piano Book helped him find his early enthusiasm towards music. The music in the album ignited his dream of being a pianist.
“The works collected in the album are all my favorite, including Beethoven's For Alice, with which of you are familiar. I really wish that it can bring a wonderful enjoyment to every music lover and you can focus on performing and understand the basic works in the daily practice rather than keep challenging difficult music.”
The “Perfection Lecture Room” is a cultural brand of the campus created by Zhejiang Conservatory of Music. By inviting art and cultural masters and elites to the campus to have a face-to-face interaction with teachers and students, the program aims to guide the teachers and students to learn from Chinese culture and acquire strength from the masters, and provides a spiritual impetus for their artistic life.
