Since the flood season is around the corner in Zhejiang Province, a "Power Waiter" service team organized by State Grid Taishun County Power Supply Company has been busypatrolling powerlines in mountains and troubleshooting power faultfor key touristic spotsacross the county.
Taishun is located in the mountain area of southern Zhejiang Province with hills and forests, and in case of windy or rainy weather, power lines are often hooked by tree branches and mao bamboos, causing power failures. To thrive on tourism, Taishun boastsup to 122 tourism-related companiesof different sizes. Since tourism projects occupy large floor area and are energy-consuming because of various supporting facilities, the power supply company has equipped a 10kv power supply line for these enterprises. However, asit is for private use, any power failure happened, business owners have to manage and maintain power consumption by themselves in the past.
Taishun County Power Supply Bureauhas assigned technical experts to build 13 "Power Waiter" service teams with township power supply stations, and dispatched personnel to investigate on power lines of tourism projects at regular intervals. In addition, the service team has dealt with trees and bamboos scattered around cables in accordance with policies to ensure the safe use ofpowerlines.
At present, "Power Waiter" in Taishun County has completed inspections on power consumptionof 13 tourism-involved enterprises, and saved more than RMB 2 million in power maintenance. This year, the county has invested over RMB 2.281 million to renovate and build 28km power supply lines for local tourism projects, achieving substantive outcomes.
