Jindong district, Jinhua, Zhejiang province achieved remarkable success in its floriculture and horticulture sector, with sales reaching approximately 1.5 billion yuan ($207.84 million) and an output value of 215 million yuan in the first quarter of this year, marking a 1.5 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

The outstanding performance is largely attributable to a raft of measures taken by authorities, including introducing eight policies aimed at attracting and nurturing leading enterprises, upgrading industrial facilities, strengthening talent cultivation, promoting bank loans, and implementing insurance.

Home to around 100,000 mu (6,666.67 hectares) of flowers and plants, Jindong has also been focusing on establishing a modern floriculture and horticulture industrial system that integrates plantation, market circulation, and technological support to promote the high-quality development of the industry.

The district has hosted 21 editions of the China (Jinhua) Horticulture Expo since 2003, which are part of a broader strategy to advance the scale, specialization, and unique characteristics of its floriculture and horticulture industry, ensuring continued growth and success.

The industry has also provided jobs for over 50,000 residents in the district, contributing to local economic development and community well-being.
