An exhibition showcasing archaeological discoveries at the Dahutou site in Yuecheng district, Shaoxing, Zhejiang province, opened at the Shaoxing Museum on Aug 29 and will run until Nov 17.


Dahutou site lies at the heart of the Yue State capital ruins from the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods (770-221 BC), dating back to the period of the state's rise and zenith, making it a shining example of Yue culture.


The exhibition showcases the archaeological findings from the Dahutou site since 2021, displaying over 400 artifacts for the first time, including bronze ware, primitive porcelain, pottery, and woodware. These items shed light on the daily life and production activities of the ancient Yue people.

The exhibition offers visitors the chance to touch excavated artifact samples and collect stamps, giving them a better understanding of the cultural significance of the Dahutou site.
