The "Impressions of China" 2024 Short Video Showcase ∙ "Explore Jiangsu Tour" was officially unveiled in the Nanjing, East China's Jiangsu province, on Aug 3.

More than 80 young representatives from countries and regions including the USA, the UK, Canada, Australia, Pakistan, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, as well as provinces, cities, and districts across China gathered in the event. 

During a week-long exploration of cities including Nanjing, Suzhou, Wuxi and Changzhou, they will experience the natural scenery, historical culture and social life of Jiangsu. 

Tour members have also shared their feelings about their engagement in the event. Leong Ka Kit, a youth from Macao, hoped to connect Macao and Jiangsu more closely through his short videos. 

Benjamin, a Canadian, showed photos of his family taken in Nanjing during the Spring Festival in 2015 and 2024, and revealed that he would make short videos about high-tech achievements for his students. 

At the launch ceremony, six tourist locations, including Nanjing Jiangbei New Area, Lianyungang City and Wuxi Huishan High-tech Zone were awarded "Impressions of China · Beautiful Jiangsu — Top Destinations". 

The "Explore Jiangsu Tour" was also launched at the ceremony by mixing water collected from the Yangtze River, the Grand Canal, Taihu Lake, Yangcheng Lake, Huai River and the Yellow Sea.

The short videos will be broadcast and presented on Jiangsu Satellite Channel, Jiangsu International Channel, Jiangsu News Radio, Litchi News, inJiangsu website and App, Lychee TV and NowJelli's overseas social media accounts on YouTube and Facebook, along with media accounts of 11 international communication centers including Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, Shenzhen, Zhejiang and Guangdong. 

Since its launch in June, the event has received positive responses from many creators both at home and abroad. So far, more than 1,000 works have been received. 

In late September, the organizing committee will also hold the "Impressions of China" Short Video Announcement & Showcase Ceremony to let the creativity and talent be displayed and recognized. Starting in October, the works will be exhibited on the All-China Journalists Association website and major domestic new media platforms, allowing more people to appreciate the charming elegance shown in "Impressions of China".
