Taizhou in Zhejiang province recently released its first list of 13 municipal-level "Intangible Cultural Heritage Tea Spaces". These unique spaces blend tea culture with various intangible cultural heritage items, each exuding its distinctive charm.


The Tiantai Yunwu Tea Intangible Cultural Heritage Tea Space in Tiantai county sits at an altitude of 800 meters. A pervasive aroma of tea fills the room as visitors immerse in displays of tea culture, history, utensils, and craftsmanship. The experience extends outdoors with tea-picking activities, offering the freshest Yunwu tea and a profound connection to the essence of tea leaves.


Though known for its tangerines, Huangyan district also boasts a rich tea culture. At the Zhengmingtang Intangible Cultural Heritage Tea Space, the famous Longqian spring tea blends with traditional bamboo carving and winemaking, creating a harmonious cultural fusion.


Many homestays in Taizhou embrace tea culture, such as one in Wenling county-level city that integrates tea spaces throughout its premises. It offers guests a serene environment to indulge in tea, admire the scenery, and experience various intangible cultural heritage items such as paper-cutting and traditional snack-making techniques.
