Yann Layma, a French photographer, yearns for China, explores it, perceives it and finally falls in love with it. He gives a clear account of what China was and how it is now, including the Chinese people, their life, stories and Chinese dreams in the context of tremendous changes in the past 40 years after China adopted reform and opening up with expressive and compelling pictures in documentation, recollection and reproduction.

The second episode, Exploring Dreams recounts Yann Layma's admiration for the fast-developing Chinese society and his reflections on the relationship between modernization and traditional values.
