At the 2025 Early Spring Tea Conference on Feb 14, it was announced that spring tea in Zhejiang province will soon begin harvesting from south to north, with the harvest of Anji white tea to start in Huzhou around March 25.


In addition to the harvesting information, the "Top 10 Tea Travel Routes in Zhejiang" were also revealed at the conference, featuring 10 routes connecting 43 tea industry belts and 172 scenic spots.


The "Ecological Huzhou Tea Culture Tour" was selected as one of the top 10. The route, centered around Changxing Zisun tea, Anji white tea, Mogan Huangya tea, and Gucheng Yuya tea, includes the Tribute Tea Museum of Tang Dynasty in Changxing county, the Songming Tea Expo Park in Anji county, and Mogan Mountain in Deqing county, offering a unique experience exploring the region's tea culture.


Huzhou is known as the birthplace of the world's tea culture and is where the Tea Sage Lu Yu (733-804) wrote Cha Jing, or Classic of Tea. The Zisun tea, Anji white tea, and Mogan Huangya tea are esteemed teas representing the historical significance of Huzhou tea in China.


These teas, along with the scenic beauty and cultural richness of the region, make Huzhou a must-visit destination for tea enthusiasts and travelers seeking a unique cultural experience.
