Two places in Jinhua were recently listed as International Cultural Exchange Bases of Zhejiang province, as announced by the Zhejiang Publicity Department and the Provincial Department of Culture, Radio, Television, and Tourism on Dec 6.

One place is Jinhua Mountain, the birthplace of Huang Daxian culture. It blends natural beauty with a wealth of cultural relics and embodies a fusion of Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism.

The legendary tales of Huang Daxian (c.328-386), whose original name was Huang Chuping, include his cultivation of Tao, combating evil, and benefiting society, which has been recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage item. Representing China's virtuous culture, Huang Daxian (Great Immortal Huang) culture stands as a crucial part of traditional Chinese culture.

Capitalizing on its historical and natural assets, Jinhua Mountain has hosted a diverse array of activities to promote Huang Daxian culture. The area has welcomed over 7 million tourists in 2024, with an increasing number of overseas visitors.

The other place is the Panda Pig Two End Black International Ranch, the world's first paradise ranch spotlighting Jinhua's Liangtouwu pig, or two-end-black pig. It integrates intelligent breeding, study tours, leisure and sightseeing, culinary experiences, and family engagements.
