The Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe Tashkent Freight Distribution Center officially opened in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on April 7.
The Tashkent center is the third overseas logistics node in Zhejiang's YXE network, following Duisburg in Germany and Almaty in Kazakhstan.
Strategically located 20 kilometers from the city center and major rail stations, the facility includes a 6,000-square-meter bonded warehouse, a 1,200-meter dedicated rail line, and a fleet of trucks.
The facility is designed to provide container storage, multimodal rail services, bonded warehousing, and integrated customs clearance. In addition to serving Uzbekistan's import and export needs, it will operate as a regional transshipment hub for the Central Asian markets.
In 2024, Yiwu's exports and imports with the five Central Asian countries hit 9.6 billion yuan ($1.31 billion), up 37.2 percent year-on-year.
Cargo moved via the trains connecting Yiwu and Central Asia now spans over 200 categories, including household goods, machinery, auto parts, and bulk materials.
Official data shows that Zhejiang operated 771 outbound China-Europe trains in the first quarter of 2025, a 4.05 percent year-on-year increase.
