Over 20 sweater companies from Honghe town in Jiaxing, Zhejing province, displayed their products at the Dubai International Consumer Products Expo from Nov 18 to 28. This 10-day event gave business owners the chance to explore international markets.
Ran Jingyong, attending his first international exhibition, reported a successful turnout, receiving visitors from Dubai, Iran, and Egypt. Basic sweaters were especially popular, resulting in orders for approximately 80,000 units, totaling around 700,000 to 800,000 yuan ($96,590-110,390) in value.
Located in Dubai's Jebel Ali Free Zone, the expo serves as a strategic hub for the seamless distribution of Chinese goods across various regions. During the event, Honghe town signed a cooperation agreement with Yiwu Trade City to store samples in the Dubai showroom, creating a continuous display to secure orders.
Additionally, Honghe entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with the Shenzhen Cross-border E-commerce Association's Dubai branch, providing more opportunities for the town to engage in overseas commerce. Gu Ninglu, the Maoshanpai Platform's (cross-border e-commerce platform of Honghe) operations manager, emphasized the importance of leveraging digital technology and cross-border livestreaming to innovate and improve product design and operations.
Exploring new channels and global markets is essential for traditional industries. Honghe town plans to engage in further collaborations to continue this trend of collective expansion, enhancing its global brand influence.
