Apple reaffirms commitment to China

Apple Inc reiterated its commitment to enhance supply chain cooperation in China, as Jeff Williams, the tech giant's chief operating officer, met with officials from Central China's Hunan province on Wednesday.


Highlighting Apple's long-standing partnership with local tech firm Lens Technology Group, which dates back to the first generation of iPhone, Williams said that the collaboration has yielded significant advancements in smart and green manufacturing.


He reaffirmed Apple's commitment to furthering cooperation with the province in areas such as supply chain management, talent training, and sustainable manufacturing practices.


When meeting with Williams, Shen Xiaoming, Hunan's Party secretary, encouraged Apple to enhance its supply chain presence in the province and participate in the development of Changsha, capital of Hunan, as a global research and development hub.
