The 2nd Taizhou (Duqiao) International Optics Fair, held at the China Duqiao Eyewear City in Taizhou, Zhejiang province, from Oct 18 to 20, concluded with fruitful results.
The fair drew more than 13,000 visits, surging by over 20 percent year-on-year, and facilitated intended orders totaling approximately 180 million yuan ($25.27 million), a significant growth of about 16 percent.
International businessmen from key export markets and emerging markets including India, South Korea, Egypt, Japan, Singapore, Indonesia, Turkiye, and Iran all indicated an interest in Taizhou.
The fair's tagline, "Sourcing from the Origin Factories", not only defined the event's focus but also proved to be a solid strategy to attract business partners.
"The theme is based on the complete industrial chain and strong manufacturing capacity of Taizhou's eyewear industry. And the visits to source factories during the fair were well-received by participants," said Su Miaoshou, general manager of Donnor Exhibition Company, the event's organizer.
This year's fair featured a dedicated sports eyewear zone, showcasing products that combined superior protective features, comfort, and fashionable elements to meet the diverse needs of both sports enthusiasts and professional athletes.
Li Yuesheng, president of the Taizhou Eyewear Chamber of Commerce, highlighted the industry's expansion across various regions and thousands of related enterprises in Taizhou. The fair provides a communication platform for capturing industry trends and understanding market demand.
