A Panamanian vessel carrying 5,800 metric tons of gypsum, departed from the Taizhou Port's Damaiyu port area in Taizhou, Zhejiang province, on Oct 8, heading for the Ulsan Port in South Korea.

It is the first vessel to use the newly launched trade route from Taizhou's Damaiyu to Ulsan Port in South Korea, representing another significant milestone in Taizhou Port Services Co's efforts to expand its shipping lines.

In recent years, Taizhou Port Services Co has been consistently opening new foreign trade routes, establishing connections with some Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership countries such as Japan and Vietnam. The company now operates four RCEP routes.

In the first three quarters of this year, the company's bulk cargo throughput increased by over 12 percent year-on-year, with the amount of construction materials in particular rising by more than 20 percent.

The newly launched trade route primarily transports construction materials and other bulk cargo, and is currently scheduled to operate every 15 days.

The route will help meet export demand for gypsum and other bulk goods from Taizhou enterprises, providing customers with efficient, convenient, and cost-effective logistics services.
