Zhejiang Ason New Materials Co Ltd, a company in Tongxiang, a county-level city of Jiaxing, Zhejiang province, recently made a significant impact at the Feiplar, a composite materials and polyurethane exhibition in Brazil, securing over $1.7 million in potential orders.
"We had planned to attend this exhibition for years, and it finally happened. It was the right decision," said Hu Hongming, chairman of Ason. This year, Tongxiang included the Feiplar in its 2024 Key Supported International Exhibitions Directory, encouraging participation with supportive policies.
"The South American market is vast but has seen limited engagement from Chinese companies. Being the first to break through can secure a significant advantage," Hu explained. For Ason, South America was a crucial yet underdeveloped region in their global strategy.
The exhibition served as an excellent door-opener. Over the course of three days, Hu's schedule was packed, allowing him to reconnect with old friends and meet new business partners. "We met dozens of local traders, covering almost all market segments," Hu noted.
High-quality products remain the "hard currency" for Chinese companies entering overseas markets. Hu introduced their main exhibit, a base material for automotive seat systems, aligning with the booming electric vehicle industry. The market response was overwhelmingly positive.
Like Aisen, many Tongxiang companies are accelerating their international expansion, actively participating in the development of global industrial chains through exhibitions. This year, over 300 local companies have ventured abroad, securing more than $500 million in potential orders.
