With the 2024 Paris Olympics just over a month away, the excitement is palpable in Jiaxing's manufacturing sector. Workers at Alpine (Jiaxing) Sportswear & Equipment Co Ltd were recently busy packing clothing destined for use by Czech athletes in Paris.

Thomas Tauchman, general manager of Alpine, first visited Jiaxing in 2004, establishing Alpine's office due to the city's robust service, existing textile industries, and convenient location. Jiaxing hosts the largest manufacturer of Alpine's knitwear series, making it an ideal base.

In 2009, Alpine became an official sponsor of the Czech Olympic National Team, designing clothing for both Winter and Summer Olympics. For the Paris Olympics, Alpine's Jiaxing factory designed and produced over 4,000 pieces, including ceremonial outfits, award uniforms, sportswear, and quick-dry T-shirts. All items have been delivered.

Alpine's craftsmanship is key to its success. "This award uniform looks ordinary but has hidden features," said Ji Guoyuan, sales manager of Alpine. The uniform uses a three-layer adhesive process, achieving waterproofing while ensuring breathability. The design also incorporates the Czech flag's colors and elements like the Eiffel Tower to honor the host city.

Currently, 90 percent of Alpine's products are sold to Europe, with a first-quarter output value exceeding 8 million yuan ($1.1 million), up 30 percent year-on-year. Last year's total output value was 25 million yuan, and this year it is expected to surpass 40 million yuan.
