The Updated Version of the Master Plan for Ningbo Zhoushan Port (2020) has taken a further step towards implementation following the approval of the environmental impact report by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment.
The revised plan has undergone thorough optimization and adjustments compared to its original version - the Master Plan for Ningbo Zhoushan Port (2014-2030).
In terms of physical layout, the revision has expanded the port's subordinated areas from 19 to 20, now comprising 14 crucial port areas—Qushan, Yangshan, Beilun, Liuheng, Chuanshan, Meishan, Jintang, Daxie, Cengang, Shengsi, Daishan, Baiquan, Zhenhai, and Dinghai, alongside six general port areas of Miaoao, Hangzhou Bay, Xiangshan Port, Shipu, Shenjiamen, and Yongjiang.
With the completion of this updated plan, supported by enhanced infrastructure and improved intermodal capabilities, Ningbo Zhoushan Port will play a more instrumental role in advancing the country's strategic initiatives and promoting high-level openness in the Yangtze River Delta region and beyond.
