Alibaba's new global headquarters in Yuhang's Future Sci-Tech City, Hangzhou, opened on May 10.

The campus features a central area with Alibaba's iconic smiling logo, symbolizing the company's deep roots in Hangzhou and its 25-year commitment to "making it easy to do business anywhere".

The headquarters features a "green, tech-savvy, and sustainable" design, using IoT and AI technology to create an intelligent office system. A "carbon reduction brain" precisely manages the campus's energy consumption.

The campus exudes a youthful and vibrant atmosphere, connected by an 800-meter circular pathway linking seven buildings. The path provides flexible office spaces and encourages free movement and interaction among employees.

Facilities include a FIFA-certified soccer field, a China Athletics Association-certified 400-meter track, basketball courts, badminton courts, and a gym. Convenient features like maternity rest rooms and 272 accessibility facilities also dot the campus.

Smart systems enable self-service for tasks such as booking meeting rooms, printing, and travel arrangements. Each workstation has a QR code for personalized adjustments to air conditioning, lighting, and other amenities.

At the heart of the headquarters is a "smiling face" garden, designed as an ecological nest with a variety of plant species and sustainable water systems. It supports local wildlife by providing food sources like pomelos, bayberries, and pomegranates.

With the opening of Alibaba's global headquarters (Xixi C Zone), the Xixi A Zone will house domestic e-commerce operations like Taobao and Tmall, while the Xixi B Zone will serve as an innovation park for Alibaba's digital ecosystem.
