Wenzhou enterprises reap $279m in intended deals at 135th Canton Fair

The 135th Canton Fair concluded in Guangzhou with Wenzhou companies securing $279 million in intended deals, a 23.4 percent increase from the last spring session.


Wenzhou's 742 enterprises showcased their products across 1,589 booths, including 465 brand-specific spaces. The Wenzhou delegation received over 25,300 buyers, with 9,281 expressing their intent to buy.


European, ASEAN, and South American buyers led the prospective transactions, amounts of $69.49 million, $48.25 million, and $35.41 million, respectively. Footwear, electronics, bathroom equipment, office supplies, and bags were the top sectors, drawing significant interest and intended deals.


Innovative design was the highlight of the fair, with Wenzhou businesses like Zhejiang Ishuai Electrical Appliance Technology Co Ltd and Zhejiang MSN Electric Appliance Co Ltd showcasing products that blend aesthetics with functionality. The former's forest series non-stick pans and virtual factory tour attracted considerable attention, while the latter’s brushless motor shaver impressed with its ergonomic design and durability.


Wenzhou's focus on innovation was evident in design, green technology, user experience, and services. Fifteen companies and one industrial cluster launched new products at the fair, enhancing Wenzhou's manufacturing prestige. The fair also featured a cross-border e-commerce zone, where six Wenzhou companies interacted directly with global buyers, highlighting the efficiency of digital trade platforms.
