The 2024 Yiwu Consumer Electronics and Electrical Appliances Expo opened on May 7 at the Yiwu International Expo Center. The event spanned three days and its main attractions were solar photovoltaic and energy storage products.
Kashi, a Pakistani merchant in Yiwu, highlighted the demand for high-power solar energy storage equipment in Pakistan's undeveloped mountainous regions. With a significant backlog of orders, Kashi aimed to purchase solar panels, inverters, and related products directly from factories in Guangzhou, Ningbo, and Yiwu to capitalize on the market potential.
Yiwu Jingtanhao New Energy Technology Co Ltd introduced a cost-effective solar DC device suitable for the Middle East and African markets, emphasizing the growth in exports of new energy products amidst increasing environmental pressures and traditional energy constraints.
Musheng Technology (Ningbo) Co Ltd cited Yiwu's abundant foreign merchant resources as a key factor for their participation in the expo, which has already yielded numerous contacts, particularly from South America, Africa, and the Middle East.
A total of 394 companies participated in the expo across 400 booths in a 10,000-square-meter space. The first day alone attracted over 15,000 visitors and facilitated $10 million in intent-to-purchase orders with Ghanaian merchants.
