On September 26, at the Apsara Conference, Alibaba Cloud announced that at present 23 cities around the globe have introduced the city brain system to cover 48 scenes of 11 fields such as traffic, city management, cultural tourism and healthcare.
At the Apsara Conference 2017, Alibaba Cloud officially unveiled the city brain. Starting from a street at the downtown of Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou, the city brain has begun to assist the management of the whole Hangzhou. A group of data has proven the “evolution” of Hangzhou.
4.6 minutes: A trip on the 22-km Zhonghe-Shangtang overpass can save by 4.6 minutes.
2.6 seconds: The parking facility without a stop bar was piloted and promoted, which takes only 2.6 seconds for a car to pass the toll gate.
12 times: The first city adopting “flexible traffic control” for external vehicles. Every vehicle can apply for 12 times.
30 seconds: Check in and out of a hotel by customers alone. The entire process only takes 30 seconds.
20 seconds: No need to queue up to enter a park with the digital card, which only takes 20 seconds for people to enter the park.
1 hour: Pay after seeing the doctor. As such, nearly an hour can be saved.
7 minutes: Escort an ambulance with one key, so on average 7 minutes can be saved.
Understand a city with data. So far, the city brain program has cooperated with 23 cities, including Hangzhou, Haikou, Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Tianjin, Lhasa, Wuhan, Zhengzhou, Shijiazhuang, Taiyuan, Xi’an, Chengdu, Suzhou, Hefei, Xiong’an, Jincheng, Quzhou, Huzhou, Luzhou, Macau and Kuala Lumpur of Malaysia.
Through the mining, application and flowing of city data, it has offered ideas and solutions for the integration between technology and industries constantly. Today, Alibaba Cloud also announced a new cooperation with Hangzhou Xiaoshan Airport at the conference. Using the scheduling capacity of the urban brain, Alibaba Cloud will assist the airport to effectively control each link such as the taking off and landing of flights, boarding and alighting of passengers, handling of luggage, refueling, meals, overhaul and cleaning.
In the future, everything can be computed and scheduled accurately, from the mailing and delivery of a small package to the coordinated operation of a high-speed railway station to reduce the waste of time and resources due to a poor planning.
