先来一个自我介绍

Self-introduction

作者本人是黄毅捷，英文名Frank.

I am Huang Yijie and you can call me by Frank. 

我发完这篇文章，公众号就要改名为“浦江人在纽约”了。浦江又是什么呢？很多人看到我的网名，以为是上海人。此浦江不是上海的黄浦江，而是浙江省金华市浦江县。在浦江长大，直到高一去美国求学。我的留学同学基本上都是北上广深杭等城市的朋友们，很少碰到一个跟我一样从小县城来的。

After posting this article on my WeChat public account, its name will be changed into “Pujianger in New York”. What is Pujiang? It gives people the impression that I am from Shanghai. It is not Shanghai Huangpu River, but Pujiang County of Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province. I grew  up in Pujiang County and studied in an American senior high school. Most of my classmates are from cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Hangzhou, few come from a small county.

我是一个喜欢记录生活的人，不管是用相机还是用文字。但是每次在朋友圈发上图片以及一大堆解释文字的时候，好像很少有人愿意去阅读，去了解背后的故事。亦或者是发一大段很长的文字，根本就不符合朋友圈的“大众标准”，所以现在每次发朋友圈我会发的很简短，但是我还想跟大家分享这些照片里，许多背后的故事。

I like recording life, whether with a camera or words. Yet every time I post pictures and long explanatory texts on Moments, it seems that people don't want to read them, let alone learn about the stories behind them. Perhaps the long text on Moments does not cater to public taste at all. Although I only post briefly now, I still want to share stories behind these photos with you.

朋友圈发了毕业的照片，看上去就是我和家人，同学以及老师们的合照，但这包含了一个故事，一个从中国五线小城镇走出来的少年，15岁的时候只身来到美国马里兰州小城镇上高中，通过三年的摸爬滚打拿到毕业生的最高荣誉，在2000多人的见证下在北美最大的教堂里上台领奖。

I have posted some photos of graduation, nothing special, with my family, classmates and teachers. Yet they tell a story of a 15-year-old  boy from a small town of China, who came all the way to Maryland to study. After three years of hard work, the boy got the highest honor of a graduate and was awarded in front of more than 2,000 people in the largest church of North America.

我有太多太多的故事要分享，美国高中的，旅行途中的，家乡浦江县的，还有在纽约读大学的经历等等等等。可以理解这个公众号为“升级版深度朋友圈”，但我会用文字，图片和视频一起让内容变得深度而且有趣。

I have so many stories to share, including my senior high school, my trips, my hometown Pujiang County and my study in New York University. Consider the public account as an “upgraded version of Moments”. I will make the contents incisive and funny with texts, photos and videos.

写文章会与读者引起共鸣，当然也会与读者产生不同的观点，这方面自己也在探索中，希望大家以后多多包涵。如果有意见和建议，欢迎在评论区提出，很期待大家的反馈哦。

为什么取这个名字

Why I chose this nickname

我是浙江省金华市浦江县人，我很爱我的家乡，然后现在本人在纽约大学就读大一，所以取名“浦江人在纽约”。

I am a native of Pujiang County, Jinhua, Zhejiang. I love my hometown. Now I am studying in New York University, so my nickname is “Pujianger in New York”.

之前说的，我有太多太多的故事要分享，美国高中的，家乡浦江县的，纽约读大学的经历，还有旅行途中的故事比如18年暑假去了朝鲜。我个人喜欢拍照，也会在公众号里发一些作品，供大家欣赏～

As I mentioned earlier, I have many stories to share with you, including my study in the American senior high, my hometown Pujiang County, my life in New York University and my travel, for example, I went to North Korea in 2018. I like taking photos and will also post some of my works in the public account.

The birth of the Logo

这个就要灰常感谢我的堂哥了，他叫黄鑫晨，在新西兰留学，在视觉艺术设计方面有独到的见解。有个暑假我们一起去了越南旅行，公众号以后也会分享越南的故事。

I should thank my elder cousin Huang Xinchen, who studies in New Zealand and has unique views on visual art design. We traveled to Vietnam together during a summer vacation. I will also share this trip in my public account.

多亏堂哥用简单的轮廓就表达出了这张图片的意思。照相机中央有“NYC”字样代表纽约，当然以后分享的文章不仅仅是纽约的故事。

If it were not for my cousin, I could not express the photo's meaning with just an outline. Letters “NYC” in the center of the camera represents New York, but articles will not only be about New York.

To conclude

很高兴终于发布了第一篇文章，拖延症晚期的我从2018年11月末就开始筹备了，希望自己以后能经常发文，也欢迎大家投稿哦，你不用是一个浦江人，也不用在纽约。然后还要感谢我的金主爸爸马修同学，天使投资本公众号100元作为起步资金。

I am glad to finally post my first article, which was actually in prepare at the end of November 2018. I wish that I can post more articles in the future, and your contribution is also welcomed. You don't have to be a Pujiang native, or be in New York. Finally, I would like to thank my classmate Mathew, whose Angel Investment has offered me 100 yuan as my starting fund.
